About Drenon Jewelry
Drenon Jewelry’s journey began in 1945 when Mike Drenon, a passionate watch repairman, set up shop with just $500 and a shoebox. His unwavering dedication and deep knowledge of jewelry and watches soon ignited the spark for a family legacy. The Drenon family, along with close friends, became integral parts of the business’s evolution. From its humble origins, Drenon Jewelry has grown into a well-established store in the Kansas City area, surpassing personal goals and exceeding customers’ dreams.
Over the years, Drenon Jewelry’s story has seen several remarkable milestones. In 1978, the business transitioned to the second generation with daughter Karen Frisch and Frankie at the helm, primarily operating as a repair shop. The third generation, represented by Steve and Rhonda, took root in 1980, as they began working in the store during their teenage years. In 1989, a pivotal moment occurred when Drenon Jewelry embarked on its first trip to the diamond bourse in Antwerp, Belgium, marking the beginning of sourcing diamonds directly. By 1999, the business expanded to a second location. The year 2004 saw the official designation as a Rolex Jeweler, becoming a prominent brand at the store. In 2009, the third generation, represented by grandson Steve, assumed ownership and management, having been part of the store since he was nine years old.
By 2013, Drenon Jewelry underwent a significant transformation, evolving into a full-fledged Custom Design Studio. Finally, in 2018, the store moved to its current 8,000-square-foot location at 3727 S Bolger Rd, solidifying its position as a prominent jeweler in the Kansas City area. With each step in its history, Drenon Jewelry has continued to evolve and expand, offering exceptional jewelry and personalized services to its valued customers.
